Viva Dr Zita Patai!
Zita Patai successfully passed her viva voce examination and is on her way to be awarded DPhil. Zita’s doctoral research investigated “How memories shape perception” in the human brain. The thesis was examined by Drs Kate Watkins (Experimental Psychology, Oxford) and Elisa C Dias (Nathan Kline Institute, NY). Zita has taken up a postdoctoral position at the Institute for Child Health (http://www.ucl.ac.uk/ich/homepage) at UCL with Professor Faraneh Vargha-Khadem at UCL, exploring the development of neural systems responsible for semantic and episodic long-term memory. We’ll miss ZIta’s buzzing energy around the place. Picture shows Zita with her proud supervisor Kia Nobre. (12th of June, 2012)
